Returns Policy

At Bettison Clark Ltd, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. That’s why we offer a clear and fair returns policy if you change your mind after buying one of our vehicles online.
 

1. 14-Day Return Promise

You have up to 14 calendar days from the date your vehicle is delivered or collected to return it for a full refund — no questions asked.

This gives you time to make sure the car is right for you and lives up to expectations.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a return:

  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was delivered, with no additional damage, excessive wear, or modifications.

  • You must not have driven the vehicle more than 250 miles since delivery.

  • All documentation, keys, accessories, and extras (e.g. logbook, service history, spare keys) must be returned with the vehicle.

  • The vehicle must not have been involved in any accidents or incidents.

3. How to Start a Return

To initiate a return:

  1. Email us at returns@bettisonclark.com with your name, vehicle registration number, and reason for return.

  2. A member of our team will confirm your eligibility and arrange a collection date.

  3. A final inspection will be carried out at collection to confirm the vehicle’s condition.

4. Return Collection
  • We’ll arrange to collect the car from your original delivery address or another agreed location.

  • Return collections are typically scheduled within 7 working days of your request.

  • In most cases, return collection is free of charge, but fees may apply if the vehicle is outside the return conditions (see below).

5. Refunds

Once the vehicle has been inspected and confirmed to meet our return criteria, we will issue your refund within 5 working days to your original payment method.

6. Deductions That May Apply

We reserve the right to apply deductions from your refund if:

  • The car has been driven more than 250 miles — a charge of £1 per additional mile will apply.

  • There is damage not present at the time of delivery (scratches, dents, interior wear, etc.)

  • Any accessories, keys, or documentation are missing.

We’ll always share a breakdown of any deductions before processing the refund.

7. Exclusions

The 14-day return period does not apply if:

  • The vehicle was purchased in person (unless agreed in writing).

  • You are a business customer.

  • The vehicle has been modified or altered post-delivery.

  • The vehicle has been driven more than 250 miles.

8. Faulty Vehicles or Issues

If your vehicle develops a fault within 30 days of delivery or collection, please contact us immediately at warranty@bettisonclark.com.

In line with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to:

  • A free repair

  • A replacement vehicle (subject to availability)

  • Or a full refund, including collection of the vehicle if the fault makes the car not fit for purpose, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality

You have the right to reject the vehicle within 30 days and receive a full refund if a fault is present at the time of delivery and cannot be resolved to your satisfaction.

If you choose to return the vehicle due to a fault, mileage limits and deduction fees will not apply. We will handle returns fairly and promptly.
